i have a slk900u and i used to have a 92 'nado on it....it was too loud (56db!!) so i switched to a very quiet thermaltake x blower..... same idle temp ....@38C . it was the most powerful fan i found that was under 50 dB..... personally id take the xblower over the tornado (plus its got cool lookin ...

all of a sudden, my computer decides taht my processor is now an athlon duron 1600 mhz intsead of an athlon xp 1700 tbred ....it was oced to 1650 mhz, but its been that way for awhile without trouble. why is this??

no i just reinstalled windows into a different folder....i dont think it was startup...only two startups on msconfig are checked and i ahve 512mb333mhz ram so i dont think that was the issue.

so they know how many different hardware configs you have? Becuase ive activated on at least 3 computers and I always say I have 1. Do they know how many computers I have

does microsoft record your reasons for having to hav a new activation each time? becuase i usually give a different excuse .....and is there a point where they wont give u an activation key? becuase ive probably activated my copy of windows close to 10 times, but i get questioned each time

i tried that before....but it only does that with quake engine games...im using the latest catalyst drivers (the 25 mb one)

whenever i run a game based on the quake 3 engine, such as alice or or MOHAA, the entire game runs with a red tint...is this a problem with open gl ? ive never had this problem before and i dont know why it all of a sudden started doing that. i have a radeon8500 aiw 128.

hmm ive also seem that most of the oems are usually cheaper than the retail ...thats because you buy them directly from the manufacturer

u have to edit your boot.ini file
right click my computer>properties>advanced>startup and recovery settings>edit
then erase the line you dont want popping up during boot and save! =)

i figured out hte problem...the jumper was set to 'clear cmos' instead of normal =p
