Oddly enough the the 9600 non-pro now shows up on the ATI site as an "official" product http://www.ati.com/products/radeon9600/aiw9600/index.html as well as Newegg so either I missed it before or it is a brand spanking new addition to their product line brought to you first by Nexus_7 @ PC...

If not I am interested although I have the same question as bman. A quick look at the ATI site does not list a non pro version of the 9600 AIW either a current or discontinued product....

I have a Radeon 8500 already and I don't want to downgrade my gaming performance (hence the 8500 or better). Wifey wants someone (me) to start converting the old videos into DVD's now that I have a burner.
