I use Norton Antivirus 2010. Works fine in Windows 7 64 bit. Nice interface, low resource user, always ranks high in reliability and effectiveness. Small footprint like 2009 (which were a nice departure from previous to 2009 versions that used more resources). Lots of Norton haters still out there (...

I've also found the transition to Windows 7 rather enjoyable. I was a diehard XP Pro user and skipped Vista completely. I decided to try Windows 7 to see if I was missing anything and get up with the times. I also decided that if I was going to switch the OS, I was also going to switch to 64 bit. I ...

Need some dual boot info
Never tried dual booting. Been reading about it to get more familiar with it. I currently have XP Pro (sp3) installed (32 bit). I preordered that Windows 7 (Professional) upgrade disk at that reduced price. I figured I'm going to switch sometime so went ahead and made the choice. When I get around t...

How do you make a bootable cd with more than 1 iso on it?
I'd like to learn how to make a bootable CD with 2 (or more) different iso files on it so I could choose which one I wanted at bootup. This seems like a complicated process.

How do change cluster size for a hard drive in XP?
My second hard drive (WD 640 megs) has a cluster size of 512 bytes. I want to change it to 4kb. I tried doing it with Acronis Disk Director 10 and when it boots to try to do it, I get this error:
So how the hell do I change cluster size?Operation error: Internal error: empty destination block

I finally got it worked out. I first tried to use partition magic to change drive letters (xp won't let you change a drive letter to a boot drive). I changed them but then xp wouldn't boot. This computer wasn't actually mine. I had two previous hard drives with all my data on them. I built a compute...

XP reversed my drive letters!
I have two hard drives. First one has two partitions. First partition is "C" with XP on it. Second partition "E" is the rest of the drive. Second hard drive "E", single partition. Did a clean install of XP over the original. Now my drive letters are all messed up. It's ...

Will the computer boot from a Windows restart? Just curious. Once OS is successfully loaded, any restarts from then on ALWAYS result in a successful reload with no issues (until computer is completely shut down again). I've looked in Event Log and see nothing mentioned. I haven't tried accessing th...

I have the Ram timings and voltage set manually to Corsair's specs. Some time has passed and same issue still exists. Summary: Hit computer power button, computer will ALWAYS stop at some point as the light is going across the bar (with the light just stopping where ever it stopped inside the bar, a...
