I'll buy it today. I would rather use it before I start adding games. Also, is there any anti-virus software that everyone prefers, at the moment I'm just using the evaluation version of Protector Plus 2000. Thanks for the replies.

What is the utility of choice for backup and recovery? Since I had so much trouble reformating I thought I'd try one. Looking for one that if you screw up something that it will allow you to return to the day before or week before. Any advice appreciated.

After reformatting my hard drive it doesn't reconize any hardware...video card, sound card or nic. any advice appreciated.

Thanks bitSLAP... everything went smooth. Is there a website to help me learn DOS or do I have to take a computer class. I'm 43 and didn't start this until I was 40 and really hate to go back to school...now.

Ok...I have the first 4 things you mentioned, but I really, really don't know anything about DOS, in other words I don't know how to change to the folder where I extracted the flash bios. The folder is C:\dvd help On the DOS screen is A:\> How do I get from one to the other? thanks again, greg
