I found out that the iPOD is the only MP3 player with a harddrive that will play the audible formats used for downloaded books. I just wish the devices weren't so expensive.

MP3 Players

I would like to purchase an MP3 player that has a harddrive so I can download books on tape. Does anyone have experience with these gadgets? Which one would you recommend, how big a hard drive, etc? Also, I thought of an iPod as a likely choice but I am using WindowsXP. Has anyone used an iPod with ...

If you're running XP go to Administrative Tools->Computer Management->Disk Management

The unpartitioned drive will appear in there.
Nope! Doesn't appear.

I just got a replacement 60GB harddrive from Maxtor. I installed it as a 2nd drive (first is similar Maxtor 60GB) and while booting the bios says there are 2 hdds. However, When I open "My Computer" only the C drive appears. The same when I open Ghost. Only one drive appears. I have tried ...

I could hate you for this. I was going to build a machine for my grandson soon (he's only 2). I was going to put maybe an 1800-2000+ in it. Now I think I'm gonna give him my Palamino 2000 and buy a new one for me. :D :D :D

Barton

I am currently using a 2000+ Palamino with 1GB PC 2700 RAM and MSI KT4V mobo. I don't game or OC. Would I see an appreciable difference upgrading to a Barton 2500+?

Still amazing! Again this post showed up. I posted it ages ago.

Since the original posting I have stopped using rounded cables. I found that if you open your case a lot and change stuff, as I do, the rounded cables sometime loosen and create problems. Has anyone found this?

Did you already apply the SP1 on the XP setup? In that case you'll either have to use a slipstreamed XP CD that includes the service pack OR you can try to point it to your " C:\WINNT\system32\dllcache " or " C:\WINNT\Driver Cache\i386 Yes re SP1. Sorry, I don't understand the rest of...

I switched the Pabst for a Panaflo High Speed. It's maybe only a tad noisier (still real quiet) and I got it down 3 or 4 degrees celsius.
