At one time, this was the King of Overclockers. It would jump to 450+ without problems... :D

Have not found it yet. Problem is I have about 400 mainboards here. All flavors... ;)

Tested 3 Socket A boards. The ASUS A7N266-VM is the only perfect one right now. I can do $25 shipped for the bare board.

If no one else can hook you up - maybe I can. I have several working Socket A setups. One is an ASUS A7N266-VM. It has a chip and a retail cooler. I'll hook it up and verify its OK. Probably a few more options. I also have a new S754 board. I just need a bit of time tomorrow to see whats what... ;)

EH you are correct about the Vega. Chevette engines were better but, not by much. The oil burning Pinto was the 2000, not the 1600.

RENO. The 1600 came with a 1bbl. Thats what gave it fantastic gas mileage. It was the 2000 that came with the Holley 2bbl... ;)

The bad thing about the Chevette was the aluminum alloy engine block. They would distort and create all sorts of woes. When they started using cast iron sleeves, the engine became reliable. It was too late and everyone hated the Chevette. The 71 Pinto is another story. The gas tank safety issue was ...
