If you still have the key, it doesn't matter if the media is real or not. Your key is what makes it real. Why don't you borrow the media from someone and install it? It's perfectly legal.

I vaguely remember seeing either the Avaya or Lucent name on armored CAT5 cable some years back. It was just plain CAT5 wrapped in metal sheathing but far more flexible than it sounds. I'm sure they still make it. Home depot might even have it.

I highly recommend you get a professional to do this for you. An enterprise server like UX is no place for a novice to tinker around with. You didn't say what version the server is running, but it doesn't really matter anyhow as my memory of UX is very shoddy. But if you insist, here is what you do:...

The only 3Com switches that are manageable are the Superstack series. The rest like Office Connect and Soho series aren't. Check to see the MDIX button is not set. Other than that I can't think of any reason why a simple swap wouldn't work.

The old NE2000 driver is always worth a shot. Try it. You have nothing to lose.

Let me also add that the data on bank's PCs are hardly worth the effort of destroying with a hammer. Our data center structure is like this: Tape Silo---------- Redundancy storage in 2 different states | | | Disk Array | | | | MVS-----------SNA Server/SAA Server------------PCs | | | | | | | | O/S AI...

Why low level format or wipe them clean if their gonna be destroyed There is no guarantee that the disks will arrive at the designated destination. That's why. I was working a bank job where we were upgrading HDD's and installing new pc's and such. Any old HDD was ghosted put on the new HDD then we...

A low level format doesn't completely destroy data on the disk either. Not even close. You can low level format a disk, have it zero-filled once or twice and the data could still be recoverable. I believe the technical limit is five pass through. At my company (a consumer credit agency) all disks mu...

No surprise there. Honda dealers have been pushing for a pickup in the lineup for sometime now. The one thing I don't see how Honda could over come is the bland image associated with the Honda brand. Trucks are all about gusto and bravado. And Honda just doesn't have it. Virtually all the trucks on ...

I know what you meant, blade. I still think PCA by itself is fine. Think of it this way, a product has to be good to get the PCA Award. So PCA by itself is fine.

It's alright. There are quite a few low ball jokes, most of them are recycled. Over all, it's a so so movie. The cameo is what did it for me. Other than that, it's not worth the price of admission. Especially when the price of admission is $9.50. Hell, it's not even worth a matinee.
