Yes, you can make a backup copy of most software, but you are still not allowed to install it on more than one machine at a time.

I'm thinking of upgrading to a 1.4 GHz bird. Someone told me that it "requires" a 2.03 complient PSU. Is this true? Or is it just reccomended?

I've been having this same problem.

It makes me mad to wake up in the morning and see my computer room all lit up by the erie blue glow of my monitor.

If your school has this license, then it should be very easy to obtain a copy from them. Or, as suggested, check out your school's bookstore. You may be surprised.

FYI... If your kid is off to college. Have them check with their school's book store. Chances are they can pick up "educational" versions of all the software for well under what you expect. I remember only paying like $50 for the full version of office 95 when it came out and I was at PSU....

If you make one computer the DMZ host... does that essentially take that computer from behind the firewall?

Well... all you need is the files in that one folder. It is pretty easy to take from one machine to another. You don't even have to install it... just copy it to a folder and it will run fine. It was a "free" solution... I wonder if MS would have problems with someone posting the program. ...
