Uhoh! No problem. You got to get up awful early to beat MrC to a good deal, don't you? Bless his heart! But that's OK, he's one of the best traders I've ever dealt with, bar none!

Thanks, just the same, we'll get together next time Buddy. :)

Hey Kevin, if you've still got this, I might want to take it off your hands. Can you give me the Crucial part number? I'm looking to match a stick I've got and need one similar to this CT32M64S4D7E.16LT. I believe that most of the numbers are irrevelent, except for the LT on the end and, of course t...

Hey PreDatoR, what you are saying makes sense. I've heard that the 12/10/40 drive will do SD2, which I think is the model 12102B. Mine is a model 12101A or B, not sure, but I am sure it won't do SD2 at all. Perhaps the 40X read speed makes that difference. I sure wish I knew for sure, because I sure...

PreDatoR, not meaning to get involved in your beliefs or beefs, but I don't believe the Lite-on 16X will actually read and copy SD2. Here again, I could be wrong, and will stand corrected, but the 16X uses burnproof, which I think prevents it from handling SD2, whereas, the 24X burner uses something...

Hey Kevin, get her to cough up another $33 and get a Lite-on 24/10/40 from Newegg. This is one of only 2 or 3 burners that can copy SD2 and everything else that's out at the moment. Why mess with a used burner, when you can get one with additional capabilities and a fair reputation for a few bucks m...

Thanks for the kind words Kevin! :) Listen, could I ask a favor of you and the others here? I don't cruise the for sale boards as much as I used to, but in the past I've seen people asking for dead stuff for their technical schools. If you happen to see any posts like this any time soon, would you m...

Yeah, this ain't something for the faint of heart. Surely there are some folks, with the expertise to test and repair motherboards, out there. I sorta have the feeling that the slotkets may be OK, but I'd probably only feel comfortable testing them with an old and cheap Celeron, just in case. I thin...

Oh, I forgot, I'll throw the dead CPU in with the deal, too. It's a retail version C2 600 cCO stepped. I have the original box, but not the original heatsink/fan. I don't know if Intel would honor their 3year warranty on this thing or not, but you're welcome to try, since I don't feel like fooling w...

WTT-Dead stuff for a SB Live Value

Had some tough luck on this one, but I've got 2 dead Abit BX6-R2 motherboards and 2 possibly dead MSI 6905 Slotkets. Long story, but to shorten it a bit, used the wrong CPU setting in the BIOS of one and fried the CPU and/or Slotket and/or motherboard. Did a little testing with the other board and w...
