Halfscreen powerpoint "show"

Hey guys, We recently got some flat screens in our new office at work for displaying various forms of information 24/7. What we would like to do is run a scrolling powerpoint on one monitor while also displaying some additional information on the other half of the monitor. So essentially we would li...

Mediacom vs Qwest dsl

Just recently moved to Des Moines Iowa, looking for an internet provider and the two big ones that come up are Qwest and Mediacom. Was talking to the Qwest people today, I did not realized their internet was dsl and not cable. Anyone have any experience with this service, or should I go with Mediaco...

Thanks guys,
I found that I can get a pair of hinges for around 15 bucks, and that Dells online service manual makes it seem as it should almost be a piece of cake. Though I know it very well may not be, but it's less dismantling then I previously attempted on a laptop.

Laptop hinge replacement

I've got an older D620 dell laptop, though it has a fresh install and still runs like new. I happened to try to close it the other day, and my flash drive fell between the screen and computer, and broke a hinge. Are the hinges terrible to replace? I know laptops are a whole different game, I once re...

Another interesting topic I saw yesterday on a show that was discussing Briggs and Stratton Engines. They were saying that the money they save by making SOME of their parts in China allows them to basically lose money in their plants here in the U.S. So what's worse, when they move some things over,...

I'm posting from my laptop, so unfortunately that won't really work. I really don't have anything else laying around that I can yank a power supply from.

Dell Dimension Power Supply

I have a dell dimension 5100c, I think it's just a little bit over 3 years old, and it won't power on after a power outage last week. The green light on the motherboard is still on, but the power button on the system doesn't respond at all. I figured it was the power supply, but would just like to m...

If we bail out auto companies, who is next? Circuit city? I think the if we start getting into any more bailouts, were going to be in a lot more trouble then what were already in. I also feel that we have outgrown a time when unions were necessary. There once was a time, before groups such as OSHA, ...

Dead Ipod

Received an Ipod that seems to have a "clicker" hard drive and wondered if there was anything fun I could do with the pieces that were left.

I looked online and I don't care to spend a hundred bucks to buy a new hard drive, didn't know if there was anything worthwhile to do.
