Is PCToys in anyway owned or related to Vantec?
I noticed that the PCToys System maxx fan controller (as linked to a review on the front page) is VERY similar to the Vantec Nexus fan controller
The front design is identical (except where the name is switched to pctoys/system maxx)
the PCB is identical in both style, color, size, layout, etc....
the specs are identical with 18watts
even the packaging was identical
I had to look at the Nexus one I have (although its the silver version) just to get a second look and compare
Hell....after reading their review, it was mostly identical to the other reviews of the nexus fan controller, even the mention of the slight buzzing at the lowest settings that are drowned out by the other PC noise
So is PC toys in anyway affiliated with Vantec? or is this just a scenerio of a small time company ripping off the success of a larger company?
