Hope putting 2 fans in the case would keep temperature under contol when I close the case.

Thats not death hot, however, make sure that you have some airflow, If by 2 fans, you mean one in the front one it the back, front blowing in, back blowing out, make sure that you keep as much airflow inbetween, things like ide cabels, can get in the way, causing the air to go nowhere, causing more and more heat :P I myself had 5 fans in one system at one point, 120mm in the front, 1 80mm in the side, 2 80mm in the back, and 1 80mm in the top, and shutting off one 80mm in the back, and the one in the side, had no effect whatsoever on the temp, after i got my rounded cables. ITs all a matter of testing stuff out :)

I wouldn't really consider that overheating, but yes that is pretty warm. You may look into getting a different HSF if the additional case fans don't assist in decreasing temps.

LANBOY and Audigy 2 Platinum?

by minh » Sat Sep 13, 2003 1:06 pm

Hi all,

Have anyone experienced installing the Audigy 2 Platinum card in this case? Is the break out box fit when the door closed? Please help me out since I'm thinking about ordering both LANBOY and Audigy 2 Platinum. Thank you.

how about...

how about the Asetek WaterChill?

by PreDatoR » Mon May 05, 2003 12:26 am

the Aquarius II should fit in that case... even though if your using it for a lan and moving it around. I would not recommend this kit unless everything is screwed down securely. cause as it is now everything uses rather strong magnets to keep the pump rad and resivoir all in place.

I just got an email from Dean at http://www.overclockercafe.com and he seems to think it will fit.

Going by the pics here, I have my doubts.

If you placed the pump on the bottom/rear you'll lose the use of 3-4 pci slots. But it might fit nearer the front, or where the top/rear fan goes. It would be a close call. Sorry I cannot answer better, but I haven't had that Tt kit to know for sure.

any chance of fitting a Thermaltake Aquarius II ?

by scriptures4life » Sun May 04, 2003 10:05 pm

Would it be possible to fit a Thermaltake Aquarius II in this pup?

THANKS

I've never had water cooling but judging by that pic, if all that is meant to go inside the case then the lanboy doesn't have the room for it. Look over the pics again and you'll see what I mean.

The smartblue power supply is a good one though. It held the voltages very good even under load and overclocked. It was a little less than the TrueBlue of course. I've seen some say the fans are too loud on the smartblue. I don't think they are loud but naturally that depends on your noise tolerance.

On the other points though the lan boy is of course much lighter and you have a carrying strap included. The PlusView1000 is much heavier and bulkier, around 40 pounds heavier. Then consider all the additions. If you believe you can handle that then that sounds like your best bet. I just can't see that vapochill kit fitting inside the lanboy. It's already a bit cramped as it is.

Hope that helps with your decision. :)
