wht d heck is goin on Bluetooth Cassette Adapter!!!?

Saw this at Best Buy the other day, in the display you stand next to while waiting for a cashier. Had to do a double take. I still occasionally see cassette adapters with a headphone wire on them, but never seen one with Bluetooth before.

You'd be amazed at the number of cars still on the road that still have a cassette player but no aux jack.

So does it need batteries to work or does it use the motion of the deck to make electric?

Those adapters are not that great, even the ones with BT. The best one is this one:

GOgroove FlexSMART X2 Bluetooth Wireless In-Car FM Transmitter with USB Charging , Music Control and Hands-Free Calling - Works with Apple , Samsung , HTC , LG , Sony & More Smartphones , Tablets , MP3 Players

http://www.amazon.com/GOgroove-FlexS...+MP3+Playe rs

I had that installed in my 96 Corvette that I sold, and I still have one in our 2005 Honda Accord. I only used it to play music from my iPod. Never used the phone option.

That looks to be a RECEIVER though, FP. Correct?
I guess so you can play music from your iDevice to your car.

Yes Los. I'm more used to the ones with an audio wire on it.

Exec, those transmitters never worked in any of my cars. Most cars have the fm antenna in the back window, and the range sucks on those. maybe on an old car that has a whip antenna.

The Accord has the antenna in the back window also. The best part of the device is it will auto locate the best station to set. I've had good results with both units.
